It gets to that point in the working day, around 11.30 when the brain starts to wander. It’s sunny outside and as Mother always said, apparently, it’s a shame to waste a lovely day. Grab the camera, switch on your iPod, put on your tunes to a decent volume and take the first step away and out of the air conditioned desert.
Then just wander…..
Today found me around the University, Piccadilly Gardens and its monumentally revolting, coffee shop containing Berlin Wall, past Afflecks Palace and my usual haunt of Stevenson Square. I love the ever changing artwork in Stevenson Square. I can’t paint or draw to save my life, but I like to think I can take a photo that works. It never ceases to amaze me how somebody can transform a transformer shed or old public toilet building in to a piece of work. If you’ve not been go!
However, my favourite painting/mural/image today has to be down the side of the Roadhouse. A huge mural on the back of what presumably used to be a delivery gate/door type space. I think the artist is Tankpetrol, though I can’t be sure. I’ve seen a few of this person’s images around here and they never cease to disappoint.
